What is the first of all commandments?

What is the first of all commandments?   In Mark 12:28, “ And one of the scribes came, and having heard them reasoning together, and perceiving that he had answered them well, asked him, Which is the first (Prote) commandment of all? ” Prote ( πρώ τη ) does not mean an ordered story, but rather a central one in importance. In chapter 12 verses 29-30, “ And Jesus answered him, The first of all the commandments is, Hear, O Israel; The Lord our God is one Lord: And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart (kardias καρδί α ς ), and with all thy soul (psyche ψυχ ῆ ς ), and with all thy mind (dianoias διανοί α ς ), and with all thy strength (Isquios ἰ σχύ ο ς ): this is the first commandment. 』 Four things appear here. The same word cardias is used in 1 Thessalonians 3:13. 『 To the end he may stablish your hearts (cardias)unblameable in holiness before God, even our Father, at the coming (parousia) of our Lord Jesus Christ with all his saints. 』 Cardias is the s...

This is to fulfill the scriptures.

This is to fulfill the scriptures.   Mark 14:46-50 『 And they laid their hands on him, and took him. And one of them that stood by drew a sword, and smote a servant of the high priest, and cut off his ear. And Jesus answered and said unto them, Are ye come out, as against a thief, with swords and with staves to take me? I was daily with you in the temple teaching, and ye took me not: but the scriptures must be fulfilled. And they all forsook him, and he fled. 』 “ Fulfilling the Bible ” means the fulfillment of the covenant in the Old Testament. In John 5:39, Jesus said, “ Search the scriptures; for in them ye think ye have eternal life: and they are they which testify of me. 』 The Bible here is the Old Testament. The Old Testament is talking about Jesus Christ. The covenant of the Bible is a promise between God and humans. God unilaterally entered into a covenant with humans and made them obey. However, because humans disobey, the old one is nullified, and God makes...

And a young man ran away naked.

And a young man ran away naked.   Mark 14:51-52 『 And there followed him a certain young man( νεαν ί σκος ), having a linen cloth cast about his naked body; and the young men laid hold on him:And he left the linen cloth( σινδ ό να ), and fled from them naked. κα ὶ νεανίσκος τις συνηκολούθει αὐτῷ περιβεβλημένος σινδόνα ἐπὶ γυμνοῦ , καὶ κρατοῦσιν αὐτόν The Greek word for youth is neaniskos ( νεανί σκο ς ), and its root can be found in neo (English new), which means new or fresh. In this story, Mark records what happened after all of Jesus' disciples ran away on the day he was arrested. This situation is reminiscent of the incident that occurred in the Garden of Eden in Genesis Chapter 3. It is said that when Eve ate from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, which God had commanded her not to eat from, her eyes were opened and she thought she was naked, so she sewed fig leaves together and made herself a skirt. This incident in the Garden of Eden symb...
