The Beginning of the Gospel Is Repentance

The Beginning of the Gospel Is Repentance. Today the church says, “believe Jesus.“ But repentance must be preceded. Only those who repent in Revelation are recorded in the Lamb's book of life. Repentance is that we are dead on the cross. Not suicide, but we remember the death of Jesus who died on the cross, and believe that death is our own death. Then we believe that his death is our death, and when we believe we meet Jesus on the cross. The magician Simon was baptized by Philip, and later Peter came and said that he is evil. Simon was baptized without repentance. If you believe and are baptized, unless you repent, everyone will be like The magician Simon. Peter told Simon:Thou hast neither part nor lot in this matter: for thy heart is not right in the sight of God. Repent therefore of this thy wickedness, and pray God, if perhaps the thought of thine heart may be forgiven thee. (Act8:21-22) Those who say they believe and do not repent have nothing to do with God's grace. So we must know exactly what repentance means. Repentance is not just words, but fruit of repentance. Repentance is the declaration to die on the cross with Christ. What sin? What sin did we die? The dead with Jesus are dead for sin (Romans 6: 2), for the law (Galatians 2:19), and for the world (Galatians 6:14). Repentant was judged on the cross with Christ in this world. Who was judged? It is an old-man. The old-man that wants to be like God is sinful. This is dead. However, Satan makes guilt through the sins of man's past and revives this sinfulness. And you hath he quickened, who were dead in trespasses and sins; (Ephesians 2: 1) trespasses is sin in the world, but sins means evil. Sin is forgiven if we repent, but evil must die. So repentance means the death of evil. The source of evil is a wicked angel who has fallen into Satan's temptations in the kingdom of God and abandoned his place because he wanted to be like God. Next, Adam and Eve ate the fruit of the tree of knowledge of good and evil because they wanted to be like God in the garden of Eden. The greed to be like God is evil. Evil inherits from parents and becomes old-man and sinful. Sinfullness, evil must be die. But those who do not believe in God's promises say that sinfulness does not die. And lest I should be exalted above measure through the abundance of the revelations, there was given to me a thorn in the flesh, the messenger of Satan to buffet me, lest I should be exalted above measure. For this thing I besought the Lord thrice, that it might depart from me. And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me. (2 Corinthians 12: 7-9) Paul's thorns in the flesh can be said to be " in my infirmities." Many say that Paul would have been ill. Every person will have a different thorn, but his thorn may be a memory of past sin. He killed Stephen by the law and persecuted Christians. The memory is not erased and continues to appear. At this time, Satan raises a sense of guilt and gives him a sense of being unsaved. Rather, Paul reminds the death of Saul crucified every day, he confirmed a more complete faith. Today, Satan's messengers(devil) keep the cities captivated by past guilt. The saints are not to be deceived by Satan to provoke dead sinfulness. The saints must remember the image of their past crucified daily, and must affirm their full faith.
