NIV: New International Version
KJV: King Jame’s Version
There are many difference of the translation between kjv and niv because the every original is different. kjv is the translation of the majority of texts (Received Text) in England in 1611. This is the Bible that Martin Luther read. niv is a translation of the revised Text in 1967. The movement to unify the world as a whole is rapidly expanding. In addition to political economy and culture, "One World Religion" movement is pursuing. Likewise, many of the concepts dealt with in theology are changing. It is absolutely necessary to know the meaning of the true Bible under such circumstances.
Matthew 26: 28
This is my blood of the covenant, which is poured out for many for the forgiveness of sins. (NIV)
For this is my blood of the new testament, which is shed for many for the remission of sins. (KJV)
NIV has been translated a covenant, not a new covenant. But, KJV has been translated a new covenant. It is also expressed in Luke 22: 19-20 as a new covenant.
The compare between NIV and KJV(2)
Mark 9:23
『And straightway the father of the child cried out, and said with tears, Lord, I believe; help thou mine unbelief.』(kjv),『Immediately the boy's father exclaimed, "I do believe; help me overcome my unbelief"』(niv)
There is no sentence『and said with tears』in niv.
Tears are a sure expression of the mind. It shows the way of going sincerely to God through tears. There is a clear difference between believing in tears and believing in no tears.
John 3:14-15
『And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of man be lifted up That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life.』(John 3:14-15) There is a difference in meaning among the words of verse 15 between niv and kjv:『that everyone who believes in him may have eternal life.』(niv) and『That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life.』(kjv) There isn't『should not perish』in niv

John 11:25-26
『Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live: And whosoever liveth and believeth in me shall never die. Believest thou this?』(kjv)
『Jesus said to her, "I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in me will live, even though he dies; and whoever lives and believes in me will never die. Do you believe this?"』(niv), There is a difference the content between 『though he dies』(niv) and『though he were dead.』(kjv)
『I am crucified with Christ: neverthless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.』 (Galatians 2:20)
The Bible speaks the being crucified with Christin Galatians. This is not the future, but the Bible speaks that the believer has also been involved with the events of the cross with Jesus two thousand years ago.
The compare between NIV and KJV(4)
John 16:30-31
There is a difference of the translation in verse 31 between niv and kjv. 『Now are we sure that thou knowest all things, and needest not that any man should ask thee: by this we believe that thou camest forth from God. Jesus answered them, Do ye now believe?』(kjv), 『Now we can see that you know all things and that you do not even need to have anyone ask you questions. This makes us believe that you came from God." You believe at last! Jesus answered.』(niv)
There is a difference of the translation in verse 31 between kjv and niv. Many people confessed that they believed in Jesus.(section 30) But, Jesus says "Do you believe me?" in section 31(kjv). niv is the content to be compliment, but kjv is the content to be strong denial of unbelief. Jesus pointed out that there is no faith in the Jews who came to see the miracle. So Jesus said that they would leave when Any circumstances comes. The situation is a cross. When Jesus died on the cross, His disciples ran away, and the Jews condemned Jesus. If we had lived at that time, we might have escaped in front of the cross. We are not saved unless we are crucified with Jesus.
The compare between NIV and KJV(5)
Acts 2:38
『Praising God, and having favour with all the people. And the Lord added to the church daily such as should be saved.』 (kjv),『praising God and enjoying the favor of all the people. And the Lord added to their number daily those who were being saved.』(niv) There is the difference of the translation in the two sentences that those who were being saved in the niv, and such as should be saved in the kjv.
niv (American translation) is to be translated based on the doctrine of wrong salvation that as If I believe in Jesus, I will be saved. This implies that even if baptized, the faith can be separated from salvation unless the self-denial repentant. Although the magician Simon was baptized through the deacons of Philip, Peter told him that he was full of wickedness. So, Peter told him to repent. Salvation is done through the self-denial repentant.

Romans 4:19
『And being not weak in faith, he considered not his own body now dead, when he was about an hundred years old, neither yet the deadness of Sarah's womb.』(kjv)
『Without weakening in his faith, he faced the fact that his body was as good as dead--since he was about a hundred years old--and that Sarah's womb was also dead.(niv),
There is one difference between the two sentences as that 『now dead 』(kjv) and『 as good as dead』(niv)
The repentance is self-denial. God gives the faith of Christ, when the self is dead.
Romans 5:2
『By whom also we have access by faith into this grace wherein we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God.』(kjv),『through whom we have gained access by faith into this grace in which we now stand. And we rejoice in the hope of the glory of God.』(niv)
There is one difference between the two sentences as that 『By whom also we have access by faith』(kjv) and『through whom we have gained access by faith 』(niv)
The faith in Christ is given by grace. In order to receive God’s grace, it must first be the faith of Christ. God gives the repentant the faith of Christ. But before faith came, we were kept under the law, shut up unto the faith which should afterwards be revealed. (Galatians 3:23)

Romans 8:1-2
There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.』(kjv), Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus, because through Christ Jesus the law of the Spirit of life set me free from the law of sin and death. (niv) There is no sentence『who walk not after the flesh』in niv.
Galatians 2:16
Knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law, but by the faith of Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Jesus Christ, that we might be justified by the faith of Christ, and not by the works of the law: for by the works of the law shall no flesh be justified.(kjv)
know that a man is not justified by observing the law, but by faith in Jesus Christ. So we, too, have put our faith in Christ Jesus that we may be justified by faith in Christ and not by observing the law, because by observing the law no one will be justified.(niv)
First, the believer must be the faith of Jesus Christ. There is no faith in Christ, only in Christ. In the niv.
The compare between NIV and KJV(8)
Galatians 3:2-3
Are ye so foolish? having begun in the Spirit, are ye now made perfect by the flesh?)』(kjv), 『Are you so foolish? After beginning with the Spirit, are you now trying to attain your goal by human effort?』(niv)
niv emphasizes human effort
Galatians 3:22
『But the Scripture declares that the whole world is a prisoner of sin, so that what was promised, being given through faith in Jesus Christ, might be given to those who believe.』(niv)『that the promise by faith of Jesus Christ might be given to them that believe.』(kjv)
First, the believer must be the faith of Jesus Christ. There is no faith in Christ, only in Christ. In the niv.
Galatians 6:15
Neither circumcision nor uncircumcision means anything; what counts is a new creation. (niv), For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision availeth any thing, nor uncircumcision, but a new creature.(kjv)
There is no sentence『For in Christ Jesus 』in niv.
The compare between NIV and KJV(9)
Ephesians 4:22-23
That ye put off concerning the former conversation the old man, which is corrupt according to the deceitful lusts; And be renewed in the spirit of your mind;(kjv), You were taught, with regard to your former way of life, to put off your old self, which is being corrupted by its deceitful desires; to be made new in the attitude of your minds;(niv)
There is one difference between the two sentences as that in the spirit of your mind』(kjv) and『in the attitude of your minds』(niv) Is it a matter of mind or a matter of spirit? niv leads to the problem of mind such as attitude. However, kjv is defined as a matter of spirit.
Philippians 3: 8
『Yea doubtless, and I count all things but loss for the excellency of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord: for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and do count them but dung, that I may win Christ』(kjv), 『What is more, I consider everything a loss compared to the surpassing greatness of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord, for whose sake I have lost all things. I consider them rubbish, that I may gain Christ.』(niv)
There is one difference between the two sentences as that『win Christ』(kjv) and『gain Christ』(niv) The salvation is easily felt in niv, but salvation is fighting and winning in kjv.
The compare between NIV and KJV(10)
Colossae 1:14
in whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins.(NIV), In whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins: (KJV)
There is no sentence『through his blood』in niv.
I Peter 2:23
As newborn babes, desire the sincere milk of the word, that ye may grow thereby(kjv)
Like newborn babies, crave pure spiritual milk, so that by it you may grow up in your salvation,(niv)
Jude 1:1
『Jude, the servant of Jesus Christ, and brother of James, to them that are sanctified by God the Father, and preserved in Jesus Christ, and called』(kjv), 『Jude, a servant of Jesus Christ and a brother of James, To those who have been called, who are loved by God the Father and kept by Jesus Christ』(niv). The sentence that『that are sanctified』in the kjv be changed to sentence『are loved 』in the niv.
Jude 1:3
『Dear friends, although I was very eager to write to you about the salvation we share, I felt I had to write and urge you to contend for the faith that was once for all entrusted to the saints.』(niv),『Beloved, when I gave all diligence to write unto you of the common salvation, it was needful for me to write unto you』(kjv) There is no sentence『common salvationin』in the niv
