It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing

『 Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved;) 』 , (Ephesians 2: 5) Salvation is the resurrection of those who have died in trespasses and sins. It is not the flesh but the spirit that comes to life. The spirit is dead. In John 6:63 says: 『 It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit , and they are life . 』 The Bible speaks of the Spirit, and listeners are listening with the fleshly mind.   Romans (8: 9-10) says: 『 But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ , he is none of his. And if Christ be in you, the body is dead because of sin; but the Spirit is life because of righteousness. 』 When people read this article, the body and spirit will be regarded as enemies of each other. If the flesh dies, the spirit lives an...

God's Sovereignty

『 Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved;) 』 (Ephesians 2: 5), 『 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: 』 (Ephesians 2: 8) Comparing the two sentences, we say that we are saved by grace (in 2: 5), and that you are saved by faith for grace (for 2: 8). "Faith is the gift of God."   It is the order of grace, faith, and gift. God does not give grace to anyone, but gives grace to those who are in Christ as in 2: 7. So, before God's grace, "to say that man believes in God" is false. The people of the church pray for grace from God. If their problems are solved, they experience miracles, and their quality of life improves, they will say, "We have been favored by God." But the reason God gives grace is not human, but God himself. God's grace for humans depends not on human effort and dedication but on God's will and sover...

After your soul dies, you are resurrected to the spirit body

『 And you hath he quickened, who were dead in trespasses and sins; 』 (Ephesians 2: 1) This means "everyone is dead to God." Salvation is not forgiveness of sins, but the dead must rise again. In order for the dead (spirit) to come to life, the old man (soul), who was physically born with Jesus, must die. In the sacrament, believers eat bread and drink wine glasses. Believers drink not only cups, but first after eating bread. The reason for eating bread is the ceremony of becoming one with the death of Jesus. After first participating in Jesus' death, forgiveness is accomplished by His blood.   The Bible describes those who can participate in Jesus' death. He is not a person who says, "I believe in Jesus, I receive Jesus," but is a person who first realizes how fallen to God and repents. But people say, "I have repented of God, and I repent daily." What matters is the content of repentance. Do you repent of your sin...

Fruit of repentance

『 O foolish Galatians, who hath bewitched you, that ye should not obey the truth, before whose eyes Jesus Christ hath been evidently set forth, crucified among you? This only would I learn of you, Received ye the Spirit by the works of the law, or by the hearing of faith? 』 (Galatians 3: 1-2)   The Apostle Paul told the people of the Church of Galatia about Jesus Christ. The Apostle Paul met Jesus Christ at Damascus. On the way to Damascus, the Apostle Paul saw a flashing light in heaven, and he heard Jesus' voice. Jesus said, "Saul, why do you persecute me?" Paul asked: "Who are you?" Jesus replied: I died and resurrected in three days. "Paul suddenly became blind after hearing the voice. For three days, he could not eat or see anything. But the Holy Spirit went to Ananias, who lived in Damascus. "Go to Paul and baptize Paul." And Paul was baptized by Ananias. And Paul could see ahead.   "Everyone who call...
