Repent ye: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand

In those days came John the Baptist, preaching in the wilderness of Judaea,   And saying, Repent ye: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.   For this is he that was spoken of by the prophet Esaias, saying, The voice of one crying in the wilderness, Prepare ye the way of the Lord, make his paths straight.   And the same John had his raiment of camel's hair, and a leathern girdle about his loins; and his meat was locusts and wild honey.   Then went out to him Jerusalem, and all Judaea, and all the region round about Jordan,   And were baptized of him in Jordan, confessing their sins.   But when he saw many of the Pharisees and Sadducees come to his baptism, he said unto them, O generation of vipers, who hath warned you to flee from the wrath to come? Bring forth therefore fruits meet for repentance: And think not to say within yourselves, We have Abraham to our father: for I say unto you, that God is able of these stones to raise up children unto Abraham...

He shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost, and with fire

I indeed baptize you with water unto repentance: but he that cometh after me is mightier than I, whose shoes I am not worthy to bear: he shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost, and with fire:   Whose fan is in his hand, and he will throughly purge his floor, and gather his wheat into the garner; but he will burn up the chaff with unquenchable fire. (Matthew 3: 11-12) Serehan's baptism in water means washing away sin. However, after Jesus died on the cross, the meaning of baptism is to die on the cross with Jesus. In Romans 6: 3 『 Know ye not, that so many of us as were baptized into Jesus Christ were baptized into his death? 』 And in Romans 6:4 『 Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life. 』 God makes those who were buried with Jesus reborn by the power of the Holy Spirit. The baptism of the Holy Spirit makes revelation and works for...

It is not good that the man should be alone

『 And the LORD God said, It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him an help meet for him. And out of the ground the LORD God formed every beast of the field, and every fowl of the air; and brought them unto Adam to see what he would call them: and whatsoever Adam called every living creature, that was the name thereof And Adam gave names to all cattle, and to the fowl of the air, and to every beast of the field; but for Adam there was not found an help meet for him. And the LORD God caused a deep sleep to fall upon Adam, and he slept: and he took one of his ribs, and closed up the flesh instead thereof; And the rib, which the LORD God had taken from man, made he a woman, and brought her unto the man. 』 (In Genesis 2: 18-22) 『 It is not good for a person to live alone 』 Living alone is lonely It's not alone, it's "one part." The word "good" in "Not Good" refers to the good of God. What is not good is that it is not goo...

The Spirit of God descending like a dove

Then cometh Jesus from Galilee to Jordan unto John, to be baptized of him. But John forbad him, saying, I have need to be baptized of thee, and comest thou to me? And Jesus answering said unto him, Suffer it to be so now: for thus it becometh us to fulfil all righteousness. Then he suffered him.   And Jesus, when he was baptized, went up straightway out of the water: and, lo, the heavens were opened unto him, and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove, and lighting upon him:   And lo a voice from heaven, saying, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased. (Matthew 3: 13-17) Jesus was baptized. Jesus' baptism indicates that he was killed for the law. But after Jesus' ascension to the resurrection, Jesus make born again by giving the Holy Spirit to "the one who was killed against the law with himself in the cross." This is God's work that transcends time and place. Just as Jesus died of the law, those who died with Jesus were also killed by ...

Follow me, and I will make you fishers of men

And Jesus, walking by the sea of Galilee, saw two brethren, Simon called Peter, and Andrew his brother, casting a net into the sea: for they were fishers.   And he saith unto them, Follow me, and I will make you fishers of men. And they straightway left their nets, and followed him. And going on from thence, he saw other two brethren, James the son of Zebedee, and John his brother, in a ship with Zebedee their father, mending their nets; and he called them. And they immediately left the ship and their father, and followed him. And Jesus went about all Galilee, teaching in their synagogues, and preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing all manner of sickness and all manner of disease among the people. And his fame went throughout all Syria: and they brought unto him all sick people that were taken with divers diseases and torments, and those which were possessed with devils, and those which were lunatick, and those that had the palsy; and he healed them. And ...

Think not that I am come to destroy the law,

Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil. For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled.   Whosoever therefore shall break one of these least commandments, and shall teach men so, he shall be called the least in the kingdom of heaven: but whosoever shall do and teach them, the same shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven.   For I say unto you, That except your righteousness shall exceed the righteousness of the scribes and Pharisees, ye shall in no case enter into the kingdom of heaven (Matthew 5: 17-20) Everyone in the church thinks that they know the law. People know that the law is "to make us understand sin and to be under judgment." So they are trying to keep the law. However, they tend to be ignorant of the idea of the law. They don't know what the apostle Paul said, "Jesus abolished the law on the ...

first be reconciled to thy brother, and then come and offer thy gift

Ye have heard that it was said by them of old time, Thou shalt not kill; and whosoever shall kill shall be in danger of the judgment:   But I say unto you, That whosoever is angry with his brother without a cause shall be in danger of the judgment: and whosoever shall say to his brother, Raca, shall be in danger of the council: but whosoever shall say, Thou fool, shall be in danger of hell fire. Therefore if thou bring thy gift to the altar, and there rememberest that thy brother hath ought against thee;   Leave there thy gift before the altar, and go thy way; first be reconciled to thy brother, and then come and offer thy gift. (Matthew 5: 21-24) Jesus explains the judge. If you murder, you will be judged. Like physical murder, if you interfere with the work of saving the spirit, you become a murderer. The Bible says that those who interfere with the saving of the spirit are judged. It refers to physical and spiritual murder. The murder that speaks to an old man ...

whosoever looketh on a woman to lust after her hath committed adultery with her already in his heart

Ye have heard that it was said by them of old time, Thou shalt not commit adultery:   But I say unto you, That whosoever looketh on a woman to lust after her hath committed adultery with her already in his heart.   And if thy right eye offend thee, pluck it out, and cast it from thee: for it is profitable for thee that one of thy members should perish, and not that thy whole body should be cast into hell. And if thy right hand offend thee, cut it off, and cast it from thee: for it is profitable for thee that one of thy members should perish, and not that thy whole body should be cast into hell.   It hath been said, Whosoever shall put away his wife, let him give her a writing of divorcement: But I say unto you, That whosoever shall put away his wife, saving for the cause of fornication, causeth her to commit adultery: and whosoever shall marry her that is divorced committeth adultery. (Matthew 5: 27-32) Jesus is talking about physical adultery and spiritual ...
