Their sins and iniquities will I remember no more
Hebrews 10:16-18『This is the covenant that I will make with them after those days, saith the Lord, I will put my laws into their hearts, and in their minds will I write them; And their sins and iniquities will I remember no more. Now where remission of these is, there is no more offering for sin. 』
The saints can become confused about salvation if they do not clarify the matter of sin. Some parts of the Bible say that those who commit sin are slaves to sin, and some say that God will never ask for sin again. In John 8:31-34『Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him, If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed; And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free. They answered him, We be Abraham's seed, and were never in bondage to any man: how sayest thou, Ye shall be made free? Jesus answered them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Whosoever committeth sin is the servant of sin. 』
Since the sin people think of is usually meant for sins committed in the world, they believe that they become sinners every time they sin. However, sin in the Bible means sin against God, and it is sin to leave God. In John 9:39, "And Jesus said, For judgment I am come into this world, that they which see not might see; and that they which see might be made blind. 』The meaning of these words is that Jesus is pointing out that although humans think that they know sin well, in fact, they do not.
Jesus tells the beings who have left God to come into Christ after the old man, who desires to become like God, dies, and people think that believing in Jesus in the world and living holy is the way to enter the kingdom of God. So, they think of regeneration as the degree of heart that becomes like Jesus. In John 3:5, while Jesus was talking with a Pharisee named Nicodemus, he said that unless a person is born again, they cannot see the kingdom of God. To be born again is to be born again with water and the Holy Spirit.
『Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. 』 Water means the death of an old man. In other words, if they had lived in Noah's era, they would have to die in water. So, they died in the water and were reborn by the Holy Spirit. This means baptism. The result of baptism is rebirth. Being born again means being reborn into another being. Another being means a saint in a spirit body born from heaven. So, because the old man died, God does not judge because the object of judgment on the old man who was governed by the law has disappeared.
New people are not subject to judgment because they are governed by the Holy Spirit. In Romans 8:1-2, ``There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit. For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death. 』
Those who are in Christ are the dead of the old. Jesus died a ransom death for all mankind. So the consequences of that death have an effect on those who are in Christ. Even though Jesus died for all mankind, it has no effect on those who do not believe. God does not judge the sins of all the worlds of those who are in Christ by the Blood of Jesus Christ. Because Jesus, who died on the cross and risen, took all the sins of the world to God as the last high priest.
In Hebrews 10:12-14『But this man, after he had offered one sacrifice for sins for ever, sat down on the right hand of God; From henceforth expecting till his enemies be made his footstool. For by one offering he hath perfected for ever them that are sanctified. 』
Nevertheless, most people who attend church are looking at sin in the world, so they believe that if they sin, they must repent and be forgiven. Hebrews tells us that God does not believe in sins to those who are in Christ, but people think that whenever they sin, they must be forgiven by God. God is talking about sins committed in the kingdom of God, but humans do not know well about the kingdom of God, so they only think about sins against the world. Even though God said that all sins can be forgiven by coming into Christ because God made atonement for the sins of the world by the death of Jesus, those who see sin through the eyes of the flesh are only interested in real world sins.
So, even though the Gospel of Matthew, Romans, Hebrews, or the Bible says that God does not ask for sins again, people do not believe. It is as if the people who escaped Egypt cried out, "If you enter, you will die" in the land of Canaan that God promised. Those who do not believe what God has promised are old people to die in the water.
Only those who enter the ark survive. The ark is in Christ, and the ark is the power of the ransom instead of dying in the water. Those who enter the ark and come out of the ark again are those who are born with a new life. They are the baptized. Baptism is not a cleansing of sins, but the death of the old and rebirth. In 1 Peter 3:21『The like figure whereunto even baptism doth also now save us (not the putting away of the filth of the flesh, but the answer of a good conscience toward God,) by the resurrection of Jesus Christ: 』 And in Romans 6:4 『Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life. 』
The fact that people are sinners to God is that they are beings who have left God. So, turning to God is repentance, and God does not ask for the sins of those who repent. Those who worry about the sins of the world and who believe that they must repent daily are those who are trapped in the net of the law. Those who are reborn do not compromise on the sins of the world. Because they are dead to the world. In Colossians 3:2-3, ``Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth. For ye are dead, and your life is hid with Christ in God. Those who died of the old man are those born from heaven. In 1 John 3:9, "Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for his seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God. 』
The key to being born again is the death of the old man. How do you know if the old man is dead? That is love. In 1 John 4:20, ``If a man say, I love God, and hateth his brother, he is a liar: for he that loveth not his brother whom he hath seen, how can he love God whom he hath not seen. ? Here, brotherly love does not mean a fleshly brother on earth, but spiritually becomes those who share God's love in Christ. Of course, the brothers of the world must also love, but the important thing is to "turn those who have left God to God" is the core of the love of God of love.
Those who have left God are objects of wrath, not God's love. But when the saints turn them to God, God's love is planted in them. If you do not share the love you have received from God, you are not born again. That is why the regenerated person is not interested in the world but only in the kingdom of God. Those who are not regenerated are indulged in the wealth, honor, and power of the world, but the regenerated people, like Paul, are interested only in the expansion of the kingdom of God, not of the world.
