The shedding of the blood

(4) The shedding of the blood In the Bible, there are two meanings of the shedding of blood. The first is the redemption. The redemption is the changing of the identity to buy a sinner for the blood. Moses had to paint the sheep's blood on the doorpost the night to avoid the death of the firstborn before to get the people out of Egypt. This is the blood of the Passover. 『And I will take you to me for a people, and I will be to you a God: and ye shall know that I am the LORD your God, which bringeth you out from under the burdens of the Egyptians.』( Exodus 6:7) Jesus Christ bleeded on the cross to purchase from Satan those who repent and return to God by paying the price of the blood. 『For this is my blood of the new testament, which is shed for many for the remission of sins.』(Matthew 26:28) The second, the shedding is for the atonement of sin. Those who sinned killed animals in the Old Testament times and were forgiven of their sins from God. God has forgiven the sins of the redeemer because Jesus Christ died on the cross in the New Testament. God does not forgive the sins of all but the sins of the redeemed. We must be redeemed from God. Those who are redeemed from God can escape from Satan. We have to cognize that he was a servant of Satan, must repent to return to God. So, when we die on the cross with Jesus Christ who died on the cross, we are redeemed from God. This is a baptism. So we are fighting sin and winning. 『Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with him, that the body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin.(Romans 6:6) Howbeit then, when ye knew not God, ye did service unto them which by nature are no gods.』(Galatians 4:8)
