Many of us as were baptized into Jesus Christ were baptized into his death

(Romans 6:3)Know ye not, that so many of us as were baptized into Jesus Christ were baptized into his death?

Water does not wash away sin. In 1 Peter 3:21, ``The like figure whereunto even baptism doth also now save us (not the putting away of the filth of the flesh, but the answer of a good conscience toward God,) by the resurrection of Jesus Christ: It is only going toward God in union with the death of Jesus Christ. What we need is not power, but union with Jesus' death. It is not salvation until it is joined with Jesus' death.

In Romans 6:5, "For if we have been planted together in the likeness of his death, we shall be also in the likeness of his resurrection:" It is baptism that our old man is buried in the tomb. This is salvation. Then, just as God raised his only begotten Son, Jesus Christ, from the dead, he wants us to walk in the newness of life. This is regeneration. Regeneration is a salvation obtained at once and forever. Those who are united with Jesus, only those who admit, "I am already dead," are united with the death of Jesus Christ. It is the life that comes down from heaven to gain new life, or new life. In 1 John 3:9, "Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for his seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God.

Noah was a righteous man of his day. He was a walker with God. God entrusted the word of righteousness only to Noah. That is why he cried for 120 years that God would soon judge. Noah's parents, brothers, and relatives did not believe what Noah was saying. The Lord said that people at that time said, "What men think is evil since childhood." He decided to kill everyone. God does not love the world this way. God's love is only through a brass serpent hanging on a pole that those bitten by fiery serpents can look at. God doesn't just love the world. If you just say ``God who loves the world,'' then you don't know the love of God. Can you say that God who says, ``There are many called but not many chosen'' is the God of love? There will be many people who cannot even ask to enter on that day.

The Lord is righteous. No matter how much in the name of Jesus they pursue demons, speak in tongues and prophetic prayers, and exercise power, that does not mean that the person has repented and changed. The Lord will tell the unrepentant, "I don't know you." The Lord does not change his mind. He is the same as the God of Noah or of Jesus Christ crucified. The word of the Lord is truth and has never changed. Had we lived at that time, we would not have been the object of Noah, but of wrath that would not receive Noah's direction. It means repentance to realize that you are in this state.

In the Bible, baptism is called "baptism of repentance", not "baptism of faith". People today are baptized thinking, "If I had lived in Noah's day, I would believe in Jesus, so I would follow Noah's words and believe." When you are baptized, you confess that I am the one who will enter the ark. This is not baptism. Baptism is not united with Jesus' resurrection, but united with Jesus' death and is buried. We are the people who cannot enter the ark and are buried in the water. This is the meaning of entering the water when a saint is baptized. This is repentance.

We are the ones the Lord will not deliver. Confessing this is repentance and baptism. This is what Calvin called "the total depravity of man." It is repentance to confess, "A man is not going to return to his father like a prodigal son." The parable of the prodigal son comes from Luke 15, but in chapter 14 the Lord prepared a feast, which means, "All refused." This is how humans are in God's eyes. The words ``It is the heart of man that is more deceptive and corrupt than all things, and who can know it'' and ``Severely'' are words that are so corrupt that it cannot be cured. We can't know. At the time of Noah, everyone did not know except Noah and his 7 family members. Even though the Gospel was proclaimed, I did not know.
