For what things soever he doeth, these also doeth the Son likewise.

For what things soever he doeth, these also doeth the Son likewise.

(John 5:19)Then answered Jesus and said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, The Son can do nothing of himself, but what he seeth the Father do: for what things soever he doeth, these also doeth the Son likewise.

In Genesis 2:3, it says, And God blessed the seventh day, and sanctified it: because that in it he had rested from all his work which God created and made. The Sabbath is the kingdom of God itself. If we are in God through Jesus Christ, it is the Sabbath. When God dwells in me as the Holy Spirit, the reign of God is established in me, and I become one with God, and that is the Sabbath rest.

Before God created the heavens and the earth in Genesis 1:1, he was resting on the Sabbath. But God had something to do. That is the work of creating the world. Even when God created the heavens and the earth, the Sabbath rest is maintained in the kingdom of God. That is, God is doing His work. In Hebrews 4:10, For he that is entered into his rest his, he also hath ceased from his own works, as God did from his.

Here, his work contains the Greek meaning private, personal. His work means the creation of the heavens and the earth. That is, in Genesis 2:3, he rested after creating the heavens and the earth, so God does not care about the heavens and the earth (the world). In Hebrews 4:10, it is said, For he that is entered into his rest his, he also hath ceased from his own works, as God did from his. God's rest from his work has the same meaning as those who have already entered the rest of his Sabbath. In other words, those who have entered the rest of God are resting from the affairs of the world. They become people who have nothing to do with the world.

Satan tempted the angels who are members of Christ, saying, We too can become like God. This is explained through the Garden of Eden in Genesis 2-3. There is a scene where the serpent deceives Eve, saying, If you eat the fruit of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, you can become like God. Satan's temptation is, "Even if you leave God, you can become like God." So, the evil angels wanted to take off their robe and leave God. That is why the creation of the heavens and the earth is what God said, In a world without me, you must achieve your own righteousness. The world is a place locked in darkness where God does not exist. In Genesis 1:2, And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.

It is human beings that God made those who departed from God clothe them with fleshly clothes (dust). Those who left God and became human have forgotten God. So, God is explaining what happened in the kingdom of God through the Book of Genesis in the Bible. God explains the background of the creation of the heavens and the earth in Genesis 2:4. These are the generations of the heavens and of the earth when they were created, in the day that the LORD God made the earth and the heavens,'

And God explains why humans came to live in this world and how they should live in the future through the Garden of Eden until Genesis 2:4~3:24. In Genesis 3:24, So he drove out the man; and he placed at the east of the garden of Eden Cherubims, and a flaming sword which turned every way, to keep the way of the tree of life.

When the farmer plows the land, food comes out. God asks the evil angels to eat the food and see if they have eternal life. Of course, the food of the world cannot be the food to obtain eternal life. But Adam and Eve had to remember that God promised a seventh-day Sabbath rest in Genesis 2:3. This Sabbath Sabbath continued to the people of Israel, and the command to keep the Sabbath (Law) had the meaning of waiting for the promise. Exodus 31:16-17 speaks of the covenant promise for the Sabbath. This verse contains the promise, You said that you would do good without God, but if you realize that you are wrong and repent and come back, I will give you rest again.

And, from Genesis 4, humans were allowed to live on their own. God is not involved in this world. However, it does not interfere with anything other than the fulfillment of God's work of salvation. Because God created the universe, all things in the universe are operated by the power of the Holy Spirit, but He does not intervene in the world until the purpose of creation that God created is accomplished. Therefore, Satan is acting as the master. Luke 4:5-6 mentions Jesus when he was tempted by Satan. Jesus didn't respond to that. Since God does not intervene, "those who do not believe in God's promise of rest" have become gods in the world and live as they please. So, God destroyed all but Noah's family with Noah's flood.

After the flood of Noah, God did not judge the whole world, but chose Israel as a model, gave the law, and said, Do good. The Israelites' thorough observance of the law is their own effort, "I will keep the law without God and try to achieve righteousness."

In John 5:17, Jesus said, But Jesus answered them, My Father worketh hitherto, and I work. In John 5:17, God's work is an event that took place in the kingdom of God, that is, to imprison the angels who followed Satan, to establish a plan of salvation through Christ (predetermining Christ) so that they believe in Christ, and to save mankind. That's exactly what it does. John 6:28-29 explains that the work of God is to believe in him whom God has sent. Although God is not involved in the affairs of the world, God has been working on the work of salvation since before the foundation of the world. It is through the promise of his seed before the coming of Jesus Christ, and of what Jesus accomplished on the cross after Jesus Christ's ascension.
