Every one that heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them not

Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock: And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell not: for it was founded upon a rock. And every one that heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them not, shall be likened unto a foolish man, which built his house upon the sand: And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell: and great was the fall of it. And it came to pass, when Jesus had ended these sayings, the people were astonished at his doctrine: For he taught them as one having authority, and not as the scribes. (Matthew 7:24-29)

Therefore refers to the latter through the previous story. The preceding words were "Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?" said Jesus. But Jesus said, "Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven." You are speaking in Those who do the Father's will become wise. The Father's will is to see and believe in the Son. The Son is Jesus Christ. Believing means being one. It is to become one with Jesus Christ who died on the cross. Those who become one with Jesus are not those who do things themselves. It is only to die with Jesus on the cross.

The Pharisees were those who advocated their righteousness. They think that they can achieve righteousness for themselves by keeping the law. The Pharisees think, "Lord, Lord, I have to do something that I do as a prophet and drive out demons." Many churches today use this parable to understand that they think, "because of believing in Jesus Christ, they are saved," but they believe that they have been saved, and they must repent daily. They are saved only when they give up their will in front of the cross, and they are saved only when they do something. Jesus said to deny himself. Those who must repent daily are those who have not died with Jesus Christ. In Romans 6:7 it is said that the dead are free from sin.

Most church people today misunderstand sin. Think of sin as a sin in the world. Sin is a sin that leaves the kingdom of God. So, turning back and going back is repentance. That is, to die to the world. However, confessing and reflecting on your sins every day is considered repentance. So, they repent of their sins every day, but they are not those who repent of God. It is repentance to turn away from the greed (old man) that ``I can become like God''.

So, the Bible (Romans 6:6-7) says that righteousness can be achieved only when the old man dies. Most people in the church think, "You must repent yourself and be purified by the blood of Jesus, and only when you are sanctified, you become holy." What God wants is to die, as in Romans 6:6-7. "Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with him, that the body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin. .For he that is dead is freed from sin. If the old man does not die, the sin is still there. If their sins remain, they cannot enter the kingdom of God. .

Why did Jesus tell him to deny himself? The spirit of an angel who sinned in the kingdom of God was deceived by Satan and wanted to become like God, so they opposed God and left the kingdom of God. Wanting to be like God without God is the very basis of evil. This evil appears as the original sin as greed (old man) hidden in man. So, the Bible says that the old man dies. The old man is the old serpent and the body of sin. This is because as long as there is a body of sin, he is a slave to sin and to Satan. So, he tells us that if the old man does not die, he still has not repented.

The work of the old man means greed hidden in the body. In Ephesians 4:22, That ye put off concerning the former conversation the old man, which is corrupt according to the deceitful lusts; , Galatians 5:19-21, Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness, .Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies, Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God.
