The living water of life in heaven is resurrection life

John 4:9-14 Then saith the woman of Samaria to him, How is it that thou, being a Jew, asks drink of me, which am a woman of Samaria? for the Jews have no dealings with the Samaritans. Jesus answered and said to her, If thou knewest the gift of God, and who it is that said to thee, Give me to drink; thou wouldest have asked of him, and he would have given thee living water. The woman said to him, Sir, thou hast nothing to draw with, and the well is deep: from whence then hast thou that living water? Art thou greater than our father Jacob, which gave us the well, and drank of it himself, and his children, and his cattle? Jesus answered and said to her, Whosoever drinketh of this water shall thirst again: But whosoever drinketh of the water that I shall give him shall never thirst; but the water that I shall give him shall be in him a well of water springing up into everlasting life.

Even the Samaritan woman, the Bible tells us, had a wall between Jews and Samaritans. The Samaritan woman had faith in God and a desire for the Messiah. That is why Jesus brought up the story of the Messiah that the Samaritan lover desperately wanted. If you knew the gift of God and who it is that asks you for a drink (huidor zon) (edeis) means If you knew about the Messiah, and that the one asking you for a drink was the Messiah. Edeis (δεις) means that you confirmed it and found out right away. Huidor zon (δωρ ζν) means living water. The living water that Jesus speaks of refers to the resurrection life of heaven.

The water of life that the Samaritan woman speaks of refers to the water of life that can be obtained from a well. It is not a spiritual communion with Jesus. However, strictly speaking, this water contains the law. Jacob's name is Israel. When the southern kingdom of Judah and the northern kingdom of Israel were divided during the time of Solomon's son, the northern kingdom of Israel used the name Israel, so they thought it had the legitimacy of Israel and used the term Jacob's well.

The Samaritan lover asks Jesus, You have no waterway, and the well is deep. Do you have more supernatural powers than Jacob? The water Jesus gives is not just something to drink, but it becomes a spring that continues to gushing forth. It becomes the water of eternal life that others can drink. When the woman thinks that Jesus is saying something out of the ordinary, she responds in the same way. She asks Jesus to perform a miracle and create such water.

In John 4:20, a Samaritan woman asks Jesus, "Our fathers worshipped in this mountain; and ye say, that in Jerusalem is the place where men ought to worship." Jesus answers, "Jesus saith unto her, Woman, believe me, the hour cometh, ye shall neither in this mountain, nor yet at Jerusalem, worship the Father."

Usually, church people think that they go to the temple to worship. They think that they have to go to the temple to worship and praise God. When we look at what Jesus said, there is no God on this mountain, and there is no God in Jerusalem. He said, God is in you, and the time is coming when you will worship God. If you do not have God in you, you cannot worship. In order to worship God, you must go to the place where God is. You cannot worship where God is not.

That is why Jesus said, "You yourselves become the temple." Jesus was crucified, died, was resurrected, and ascended to heaven. Those who are united with the death and resurrection of the cross are resurrected in the present, and a new temple is established in the hearts of the saints. Christ returns to the hearts of the saints and becomes the kingdom of heaven.

Galatians 2:20 "I am crucified with Christ: neverthless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me."

Although Paul says that Christ lives in the hearts of the saints, many believers are still waiting for the second coming of Christ. Those who are waiting for the second coming of Christ do not have Christ in their hearts. Those who do not have Christ are those who do not have the resurrection life of heaven. Only with the resurrection life of heaven can one worship God.

The time will come when each and every saint in Christ will become a temple and worship God on their own, even if they are on earth. When the saints gather and worship, it becomes true worship when they worship in spirit (the Holy Spirit) and in truth (the truth: Christ, the Word). The phrase in spirit and in truth does not mean purify your heart, but when the work of the Holy Spirit and the Word of God are clearly revealed, and the glory of God is revealed through that Word, that is worship. When the Word of God is made to be understood through the teachings of the Holy Spirit, the result of that understanding is to give glory to God.

When believers think that Christ has not yet returned, they think that Christ will come so that everyone can see Him with their physical eyes. Revelation 1:7 "Behold, he cometh with clouds; and every eye shall see him, and they also which pierced him: and all the kindreds of the earth shall wail because of him. Even so, Amen." Acts 1:11 "Which also said, Ye men of Galilee, why stand ye gazing up into heaven? this same Jesus, which is taken up from you into heaven, shall so come in like manner as ye have seen him go into heaven."

When Christ returns, the spiritual eyes will be opened. The spiritual eyes of the saints will be opened first, and Christ will return and enter their hearts. Then, as the judge, Christ will come to the world and judge all unbelievers. In this case, the spiritual eyes will be opened and they will see Christ. No one can know the day and time of the coming of the Lord of Judgment. The Lord of Judgment who comes to the saints is not judgment, but salvation. This is because for the saints who believe in the present resurrection, He becomes the water of life from heaven.
