He is the one who tells you the way to salvation

He is the one who tells you the way to salvation   Acts 16:16-17 "As we were going to the place of prayer, a slave girl with a spirit of divination met us, who brought her owners a great deal of money by fortune-telling. She followed Paul and us, shouting, 'These men are servants of the Most High God, who tell you the way to salvation.'" "The situation that put Paul and Silas in trouble" begins with a slave girl they met on their way to a place of prayer. "This slave girl who was possessed by a demon and a fortuneteller" lived a pitiful life, being taken advantage of by her evil masters. And that evil master followed them and shouted at them to hinder their ministry. Paul was so stressed that he turned around and commanded the evil spirit that was tormenting the slave girl in the name of Jesus Christ. The "possessed slave girl speaking about Paul" was to instill in people that she was on the same level as Paul, because the posse...

Come over to Macedonia and help us

Come over to Macedonia and help us   Acts 16:8-10 "After passing through Mysia, we went down to Troas. A vision appeared to Paul in the night. A man of Macedonia was standing there, urging him, 'Come over to Macedonia and help us.'" After Paul had seen the vision, we got ready at once to leave for Macedonia, concluding that God had called us to preach the gospel to them." When Paul realized God's plan through a vision, he left for Macedonia Philippi without delay and arrived there. Paul wanted to go to Asia, but the vision changed his mind about going to Asia. So he said, "We got ready to leave for Macedonia immediately." Boedeson means to save, to aid. The word “ help ” is used in the sense of salvation. 2 Corinthians 6:2 “ For he says, ‘ In a time of favor I heard you, and in a day of salvation I helped you. ’ Behold, now is the favor of God; behold, now is the day of salvation. ” Matthew 15:25 "And, lo, a woman came and knelt b...

There was a disciple there named Timothy.

There was a disciple there named Timothy.   Acts 16:1 When Paul came to Derbe and Lystra, there was a disciple there named Timothy. His mother was a Jewish woman who believed, but his father was a Greek. When the apostle Paul and Silas arrived in Lystra via Derbe, where the second missionary journey began in earnest, he met Timothy, who would later become his son in the faith. God had prepared Timothy in advance of Paul ’ s second missionary journey and was waiting for Paul. God does not leave those who do God's work alone, but He always gives them co-workers and helpers. Timothy's father was a Greek and his mother was Jewish. In other words, Timothy was a faithful brother in faith who had both Jewish and Greek backgrounds. Timothy was a Jew by his mother's blood and a Greek by his father's blood, so he had a point of contact to spread the gospel to Jews and also to Greeks. Acts 16:2-3 says, "Now Timothy had a good reputation with the brothers who were ...

For where two or three gather in my name, there am I with them.

For where two or three gather in my name, there am I with them.   Matthew 18:19-20 『 Again I tell you the truth, if two of you agree on earth about anything you ask for, it will be done for you by my Father in heaven. For where two or three gather in my name, there am I with them. 』 This word begins with the admonition of a brother who commits a sin. If a brother who has sinned does not listen to the admonition in the presence of two or three witnesses, every word shall be confirmed. In the Ten Commandments, God commanded not to commit adultery. Exodus 20:14 is about lust (covetousness) in the heart, and Deuteronomy 5:18 is about adultery between a man and a woman who commits idolatry. The Bible says that when Moses went to Mount Sinai and did not come down for forty days, the people made a golden calf, worshiped it, and played. This is an act of adultery, and it means spiritual adultery against God. In the New Testament, Jesus Christ preached the gospel, which fre...

Thomas' Doubt

Thomas' Doubt   John 20:25 The other disciples said to him, "We have seen the Lord." But Thomas said to him, "Unless I see in his hands the mark of the nails, and put my finger into the mark of the nails, and put my hand into his side, I will not believe." Thomas did not believe in the resurrection of Jesus. When Jesus was resurrected and appeared to the disciples, Thomas was not there. When the disciples told Thomas that Jesus had risen, he did not believe it. Of course, the other disciples did not believe in the resurrection of Jesus at first, but Thomas did not believe it even after hearing the other disciples' story of Jesus' resurrection. If another disciple had been in the same situation as Thomas, he would not have believed it. This is because they could not believe in the resurrection of Jesus when they saw it with their own physical eyes. It is difficult to understand how someone who had died could appear to someone like that before. ...
