Question 15. What is the work of creation?

Answer. The work of creation is that in the beginning God made the world and all things for himself by the word of his power out of nothing in six days, and all things were good.

God created heaven and earth to confine the sinful angels. In the heaven and earth, God created light, water, firmament, grass, plants bearing seed, trees bearing fruit, lights in the sky, birds, sea creatures, and animals on the ground. He created man, and he created male and female.

God rested after creating for seven days. Genesis 2:1-3 The heavens and the earth were finished, and all their host. On the seventh day God finished the work that he had done, and he rested on the seventh day from all his work that he had done. And God blessed the seventh day and sanctified it, because in it he rested from all his work that God had done in creating.

The Chabam translated as all things in Genesis 2:1 is an army. God created the heavens and the earth in six days and made all kinds of living creatures in the heavens and the earth, and all of these are God's army. On the seventh day, the army of heaven and the army of the earth were organized and in harmony. This means that the army of the kingdom of God (spirit) and the army of this earth (sinful spirits) were completely deployed.

In Luke 2:13, "Suddenly there appeared with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God and saying, 'Or do you think that I cannot now pray to my Father, and he will provide me with more than twelve legions (Latin legion) of angels?'" Here it is expressed as the armies of heaven. The armies of heaven are angels.

This army called "Chava" is the army of the kingdom of God and also the army of this earth. The expression "Jehovah God of hosts" appears frequently in the Old Testament. In Psalm 69:6, "Do not let those who wait for you be put to shame because of me, O Lord God of hosts; do not let those who seek you be put to shame because of me, O God of Israel." And in Psalm 80:4, Israel is referred to as an army in expressions such as "How long, O Lord God of hosts, will you be angry against the prayer of your people?"

God blessed the seventh day and sanctified it. Since God had already planned salvation before the creation of the world, this blessing means that the fallen angels will receive resurrection life and return to the kingdom of God. He rested on this day, and the Lord of rest is Christ. It means that we will receive the blessings of heaven through Christ.
