ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy

(Romans 12: 1-2) I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service. And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God. This passage will be one of the passages recited in the church. However, before discerning God's will, there is a phrase that reads, "be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind." You cannot discern the will of the Lord without being changed. No matter how much you memorize the phrase, it doesn't mean that you can. The Bible says. "I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service. " On the day of Pentecost, the Holy Spirit came as if the tongue of fire was s...

Salvation is the salvation of the spirit

(1 Corinthians 11:17-34) Now in this that I declare unto you I praise you not, that ye come together not for the better, but for the worse. For first of all, when ye come together in the church, I hear that there be divisions among you; and I partly believe it. For there must be also heresies among you, that they which are approved may be made manifest among you. When ye come together therefore into one place, this is not to eat the Lord's supper. For in eating every one taketh before other his own supper: and one is hungry, and another is drunken. What? have ye not houses to eat and to drink in? or despise ye the church of God, and shame them that have not? What shall I say to you? shall I praise you in this? I praise you not. For I have received of the Lord that which also I delivered unto you, That the Lord Jesus the same night in which he was betrayed took bread: And when he had given thanks, he brake it, and said, Take, eat: this is my body, which is broken for you: thi...

You present your bodies a living sacrifice

(Romans 12: 3-8) For I say, through the grace given unto me, to every man that is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think; but to think soberly, according as God hath dealt to every man the measure of faith. For as we have many members in one body, and all members have not the same office: So we, being many, are one body in Christ, and every one members one of another. Having then gifts differing according to the grace that is given to us, whether prophecy, let us prophesy according to the proportion of faith; Or ministry, let us wait on our ministering: or he that teacheth, on teaching; Or he that exhorteth, on exhortation: he that giveth, let him do it with simplicity; he that ruleth, with diligence; he that sheweth mercy, with cheerfulness. While Romans 1-11 explained the contents of the Gospel, Chapters 12-15 deal with the concrete way of living, that is, the practical part of Christian life.『I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of Go...

Lord, behold, here are two swords

(Luke 22:35-38) And he said unto them, When I sent you without purse, and scrip, and shoes, lacked ye any thing? And they said, Nothing. Then said he unto them, But now, he that hath a purse, let him take it, and likewise his scrip: and he that hath no sword, let him sell his garment, and buy one. For I say unto you, that this that is written must yet be accomplished in me, And he was reckoned among the transgressors: for the things concerning me have an end. And they said, Lord, behold, here are two swords. And he said unto them, It is enough. This is the last conversation Jesus had with his disciples in the upper room: “And he came out, and went, as he was wont, to the mount of Olives; and his disciples also followed him. ' Also, Matthew, Mark, and John did not record this conversation, only Luke tells us the last lesson of Jesus' upper room. Jesus told his disciples to take good care of their backpacks, troops, and swords, and they replied, yes, there are two swords her...

He shall be called a Nazarene

(Matthew 2:19-23) But when Herod was dead, behold, an angel of the Lord appeareth in a dream to Joseph in Egypt, Saying, Arise, and take the young child and his mother, and go into the land of Israel: for they are dead which sought the young child's life. And he arose, and took the young child and his mother, and came into the land of Israel. But when he heard that Archelaus did reign in Judaea in the room of his father Herod, he was afraid to go thither: notwithstanding, being warned of God in a dream, he turned aside into the parts of Galilee: And he came and dwelt in a city called Nazareth: that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the prophets, He shall be called a Nazarene. (Matthew 2:19-23) Herod the Great realizes that he has been deceived by the Magi, and is terrifying to kill children near Bethlehem to get rid of the baby Jesus. However, when Jesus fled to Egypt and Herod died, he returned to the land of Israel under the guidance of an angel and spent his childhood...

They shall call his name Emmanuel

(Matthew 1:23-25) Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us. Then Joseph being raised from sleep did as the angel of the Lord had bidden him, and took unto him his wife: And knew her not till she had brought forth her firstborn son: and he called his name JESUS. God said through Isaiah 『Therefore the Lord himself shall give you a sign; Behold, a virgin shall conceive, and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel. (Isaiah 7:14) Immanuel is a combination of the Hebrew words "im" (with), "manu" (us), and "el" (God), meaning "God with us". In John 1:18 “No man hath seen God at any time; the only begotten Son, which is in the bosom of the Father, he hath declared him.” There is a spirit in God's bosom, and that spirit is God because he is with God. Because he was with God in the arms of God, He is God. That God came into the world as the...

The role of the church

For as the body is one, and hath many members, and all the members of that one body, being many, are one body: so also is Christ. For by one Spirit are we all baptized into one body, whether we be Jews or Gentiles, whether we be bond or free; and have been all made to drink into one Spirit. For the body is not one member, but many. If the foot shall say, Because I am not the hand, I am not of the body; is it therefore not of the body? And if the ear shall say, Because I am not the eye, I am not of the body; is it therefore not of the body? If the whole body were an eye, where were the hearing? If the whole were hearing, where were the smelling? But now hath God set the members every one of them in the body, as it hath pleased him. And if they were all one member, where were the body? But now are they many members, yet but one body. And the eye cannot say unto the hand, I have no need of thee: nor again the head to the feet, I have no need of you. Nay, much more those members of...
