『But the scripture hath concluded all under sin, that the promise by faith of Jesus Christ might be given to them that believe.』(Galatians 3:22) Man is trapped by the law of God. If there is no law in this world, then illegality will prevail. Therefore there is a law. Man is trapped by law. Through law, one should always know that man is a sinful being. Can man escape from God's law? There is a way. Man dies with Jesus by God's law. Jesus' crucifixion was blasphemy. Thus, those who died with Jesus died by the law of God.『Wherefore, my brethren, ye also are become dead to the law by the body of Christ; that ye should be married to another, even to him who is raised from the dead, that we should bring forth fruit unto God.』(Romans 7: 4) Jesus without sin died by the law of God. God gave his son to death. And God gave them a way to release those who were trapped in the law. However, when people repent and know they are sinners confined by God's law, God releases them from God's law. People are trapped in the dark. God puts sinners in prison according to the law. So those who repent and cry to God will be released from prison. The Hebrew people under Egypt's Pharaoh's control cried out to God. So, through Moses, God escaped the people from Egypt. But that is not salvation. Salvation is completed by crossing the Red Sea, passing through the wilderness, and entering Canaan. The exodus saw ten plagues in Egypt, experienced the miracle of the breaking of the Red Sea, ate the food from heaven, and experienced protection by pillars of fire and clouds. But no one entered Canaan except two men (Joshua, Caleb), children, and the new born in the wilderness. In the wilderness there is a chance of repentance. If people do not repent, they cannot enter Canaan (Christ of the Cross). In Canaan there lived an Anaxenite. If you do not deny yourself, no one can enter the cross. Exodus is like being released from God's law. But if we do not repent, we still sin. Only those who enter into the Christ of the cross are free from sin. For he denied himself. 『Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with him, that the body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin. For he that is dead is freed from sin.』 (Romans 6: 6-7)『But before faith came, we were kept under the law, shut up unto the faith which should afterwards be revealed.』Even if you are a church, you should not think that "faith comes from God." God gives the gift of faith to those who repent. Repentance is death on the cross with Jesus. Repentance is turning away from sin. This belief is not faith in Jesus, but faith in Jesus. Thus, those who are in Jesus Christ are given faith from God. Before faith comes, everyone is locked up in the law of God. It is only when God sheds light that they know that they are confined in darkness. Thus, through God's law, we know that we cannot be saved from God unless we go to Christ. 『Wherefore the law was our schoolmaster to bring us unto Christ, that we might be justified by faith. But after that faith is come, we are no longer under a schoolmaster. 』 God's law leads the repentant to Christ on the cross. "I die on the cross with Jesus" is the death of the soul in the flesh. The soul made from the flesh must die. It's like replacing a hard disk in a computer that's contaminated with viruses and can't be used. God makes the soul of the repentant die and builds the body of the spirit. This is a new birth. That is why it is separated from the evil of the world. In Colossians 2:12 says:『Buried with him in baptism, wherein also ye are risen with him through the faith of the operation of God, who hath raised him from the dead. 』 Take the example of Abraham. Abraham left the home of his Chaldean Ur at the age of 75 with God's call. But he did not obey the word of God for 25 years. Abraham took his relative Lot with him, and God told Abraham that he "born a promised son", who took Hagar to give birth to Ishmael. But when Abraham was 100 years old, he knew God's promise, even though he knew that his body was incapable of producing a son. And he had a son. God presents faith as a gift to those who obey Him. Faith does not come from "I believe," but from God, when you obey God's Word. Otherwise everyone is under God's law. No one under God's law is fully obedient. So all are sinners. Sinners are not saved. Only those who enter into Jesus Christ are free from God's law. For Jesus died by the law of God.
