Ye are all the children of light, and the children of the day

But of the times and the seasons, brethren, ye have no need that I write unto you.  For yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so cometh as a thief in the night. For when they shall say, Peace and safety; then sudden destruction cometh upon them, as travail upon a woman with child; and they shall not escape. But ye, brethren, are not in darkness, that that day should overtake you as a thief. Ye are all the children of light, and the children of the day: we are not of the night, nor of darkness. Therefore let us not sleep, as do others; but let us watch and be sober. For they that sleep sleep in the night; and they that be drunken are drunken in the night. But let us, who are of the day, be sober, putting on the breastplate of faith and love; and for an helmet, the hope of salvation. For God hath not appointed us to wrath, but to obtain salvation by our Lord Jesus Christ, Who died for us, that, whether we wake or sleep, we should live together with him. Wherefore comfort yourselves together, and edify one another, even as also ye do. (1 Thessalonians 5:1-11)

The Bible tells those who believe there is an end and the Second Coming to be awake. In the Gospel of Matthew, there is a parable of the ten virgins, the five wise virgins preparing another, and the foolish five virgins failing to prepare another. It is said that the ten virgins are dozing because the groom is slow, and only the five wise virgins go to the wedding feast. The five foolish virgins couldn't prepare the other oil barrels, so they went to buy oil, but they couldn't enter because the door of the wedding feast was closed. This analogy is a metaphor for the end. The bridegroom is Jesus, and the wedding feast means Jesus' second coming. The virgins are saints. The Bible tells us to stay awake spiritually in preparation for the second coming of Jesus.

The one who is spiritually awake is the Son of Light. The Bible said to put on a heart armor (armor) and to arm with a helmet of hope of salvation. All this is to rely on the power of the Holy Spirit. It means to deny yourself completely and live a life guided by the Holy Spirit. Those who are not spiritually awake are those who sleep. In other words, even if you read the Bible, you are not aware of the intention of God. Being spiritually armed means always keeping your identity alive and preparing for Satan's attack. If you do not realize that your identity is not in the body, but in the body of the spirit, you will fall for the greed of the world.
