I have pity on the crowd
I have pity
on the crowd.
Matthew 15:32 Then Jesus
called his disciples to him, and said, I have compassion on the multitude,
because they continue with me now three days, and have nothing to eat: and I
will not send them away fasting, lest They fainted in the way.』
In “I have compassion” (σπλαγχνίζομαι splanknizomai), splancknizomai means to aspire, to have passion (I
have compassion on the multitude”kjv). What is Jesus
passionate about through the crowd? The movie “Passion
of Christ” is about Christ’s
passion “to save those who are spiritually abandoned by
the world.” This is connected to the death and
resurrection of the cross. Even on the cross, where Jesus suffered tremendous
pain, we can see that he shed his blood to save sinners. As He was dying, He
said to God, “Have mercy on them.”
God trapped the “spirits of the sinful angels who
were his sons”
in the dust and turned them into humans, and we can know God’s heart. In Genesis 6:5-6, “And God saw that the wickedness of
man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his
heart was only evil continually.”
“A person whose spirit of a
sinful angel is combined with the earth.” The “state of” was a state stained with the sin
of greed, When God imprisoned his sons in the dust, he was truly distressed. In
this world, how heartbreaking would it be if a child committed a crime and had
his father go to prison?
So, God imprisoned them, but
in the hope that they would repent and return to God's kingdom, God predestined
Christ and planned the death and resurrection of the cross to save them.
Accordingly, Jesus, the Christ, carried out God’s will with passion.
The death of the cross
simply contains God's justice and love before the atonement that saves sinners.
Therefore, sinners who have become humans must first understand God's heart and
comfort Him with a repentant heart.
The old man was a person
with a greedy heart who wanted to be like God. So, the old man is a being
completely corrupted by God. Those who obey God take off the clothes of their
old self and become new. If a sinner does not repent, he cannot become a new person.
People repent, but they wonder how they can do it 100% perfectly. It would be
thought so if they were trying to improve the old man. However, the old man is
not an object of improvement but of death. The old person must be eliminated.
This is 100% repentance.
Some people say, “How can an old man die?” So, believers believe that through
baptism, as in Romans 6, he became such a person. Baptism means dying with
Jesus. So, believers are resurrected with Christ and born into new life. Saints
believe this. God demands obedience of faith. God does not require “man to do anything,” as those under the law do. This is
because the being called “self” is the culprit of greed that broke
God’s heart.
Under the law, “those who believe they can do
anything”
face the wrath of God, but those who fully “enter into the faith of Christ” are saved (resurrected) by Christ’s passion (death on the cross).
