Question 21. Did our first ancestors retain the original position in which they were created?
Question 21. Did
our first ancestors retain the original position in which they were created?
Answer. Our first
ancestors, because of their freedom to do as they pleased, were tempted by
Satan and transgressed God’s commandment by eating the forbidden fruit, thereby falling from the
original position of innocence in which they were created.
Believers must know who the
progenitor of all human beings living in the world is. Was it the first man or
the man Adam and the woman Eve?
First, in terms of the flesh,
since the male Adam and female Eve were created separately from the first man,
the physical ancestor of all people in the world is the first man. In terms of
the relationship between the first man and the last man, the first man is the
man before being divided into man and woman. Was the first man a man? The first
man was Christ. Jesus was also conceived by the Holy Spirit. Was Jesus a man?
That is why the Bible calls Jesus the Son of Man.
The word “incarnation” means nothing other than a
human being. The form may be male, but considering the biological meaning, it
is simply a human being. Just as we cannot understand the statement that he was
conceived by the Holy Spirit, we cannot understand the statement that Jesus was
neither biologically male nor female.
Secondly, from a spiritual
perspective, God established a temple in the heart of the first man, which was
the image of God. However, after the first man, the man and the woman sinned
against God, so God sent Adam and Eve out of the temple. This temple symbolizes
Eden. And since God also left Eden, the temple became an old temple like a
stone tomb. Now, only when a new temple is built can the image of God be
restored.
Spiritually speaking, the
first man was Christ, who did not commit sin, but after the separation of man
and woman, the man Adam and the woman Eve sinned against God, and sin entered
the world for the first time. Therefore, we should say that the spiritual
ancestors of the people of the world are the man Adam and the woman Eve who
sinned. This is because sin began with them.
