 Question 158. Who can preach the Word of God?

 

Answer. The Word of God can only be preached by those who are not only sufficiently gifted but also duly authorized and called to this office.

Acts 8:5-6 "Then Philip went down to the city of Samaria and preached the Christ there. The people with one accord gave heed to what Philip said, because they heard it and saw the miracles he did." After Jesus ascended to heaven and the Holy Spirit descended, Jesus' disciples preached the gospel and baptized those who believed in Jesus.

Ephesians 4:11 "And he gave some, apostles; some, prophets; some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers, to equip the saints for the work of service, to build up the body of Christ."

Today, Christianity is divided into several denominations, and the positions are expressed differently depending on the denomination.

Each denomination has a leader, such as the Pope in the Catholic Church, the Church of England in the Anglican Church, the Bishop in the Methodist Church, the congregational system in the Baptist Church, and the Elder in the Presbyterian Church. Each denomination determines who conducts worship or sermons in the form of an organization that fits that.

However, those who preach and deliver the word of God according to these organizations must deliver the word based on the truth of the Bible, but today, each denomination creates its own doctrine and preaches and delivers it as if it were God's will. Therefore, the same Bible verse is preached differently depending on each denomination, or even depending on the same denomination depending on the denomination, because they are bound by the doctrines they created.

Matthew 13:52 Jesus said to them, "Therefore every scribe who has been trained for the kingdom of heaven is like a householder who brings out of his treasure things new and old."

"Te Basileia ton Uranon" means the kingdom of God in the heart. Those who do not have the kingdom of God in their hearts cannot preach the word of God. This is because those who do not have the kingdom of God in their hearts do not know about the kingdom of God and cannot converse with Ho Logos. Therefore, they preach the word of God through the knowledge and doctrine of the Bible they learned in school, but they also mix in their own thoughts and preach to people, so the word of God is distorted.
