Question 128-129

Question 128: What is the meaning of the conclusion of this prayer?

Answer: The meaning of the words, “For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, forever” is that we ask God, who is our King and has power over all things, and who is willing and able to give us whatever is good, and that by doing this, we are not glorifying ourselves, but that God’s holy name is glorified forever.

Like the parable of the prodigal son, all people who have turned away from God and live as sinners in this world will turn to God and praise Him. This means they will confess and praise that all things are under God's authority, and that while all things on earth will pass away, only God's glory remains.

Therefore, the day will come when all things on earth and in heaven become one, becoming the Kingdom of God, where all things sanctify God's name and praise Him. Therefore, believers should understand and understand this truth and pray with a heart that desires for Heaven's will to be done on earth. Heaven's will is for God's Kingdom to be realized on this earth.

Question 129: What does the word "Amen" mean?

Answer: "Amen" means "This is true and certain," and "Let it be so," and it means that I believe that God will hear my prayer more than I truly desire for what I pray to be granted.

Amen is an expression of faith that the content of the believer's prayer is in accordance with God's will and that such a prayer will surely be answered by God's grace.

Saying "Amen" when it's not in accordance with God's will is like a child throwing a tantrum against his parents. Prayers won't be answered. Prayers based on ups and downs won't be answered.
