Thou shalt not forswear thyself

Again, ye have heard that it hath been said by them of old time, Thou shalt not forswear thyself, but shalt perform unto the Lord thine oaths: But I say unto you, Swear not at all; neither by heaven; for it is God's throne: Nor by the earth; for it is his footstool: neither by Jerusalem; for it is the city of the great King. Neither shalt thou swear by thy head, because thou canst not make one hair white or black.   But let your communication be, Yea, yea; Nay, nay: for whatsoever is more than these cometh of evil. (Matthew 5: 33-37) Regarding the oath, it is the Old Testament's teaching to "keep the oath". In the ninth commandment of the Ten Commandments, false oaths are strictly prohibited. Jehovah God has not forbidden the "people to swear by their will," and if they have sworn, they must be kept. However, in Numbers (30: 3-16), 『 The pledge of an unmarried woman could be canceled by the father. The wife's pledge can be canceled by finally ...

I say unto you, That ye resist not evil

Ye have heard that it hath been said, An eye for an eye, and a tooth for a tooth: But I say unto you, That ye resist not evil: but whosoever shall smite thee on thy right cheek, turn to him the other also. And if any man will sue thee at the law, and take away thy coat, let him have thy cloke also. And whosoever shall compel thee to go a mile, go with him twain.   Give to him that asketh thee, and from him that would borrow of thee turn not thou away. (Matthew 5: 38-42) There was something called 『 Equity Compensation Act 』 . This is also referred to as the 『 Equity Retaliation Act 』 . However, the "Equity Reward Act" does not mean retaliation, but means that the accused "reward the same level" to the victim. 『 An eye for an eye, and a tooth for a tooth: But I say unto you, That ye resist not evil: but whosoever shall smite thee on thy right cheek, turn to him the other also 』 The Bible said, "Repay the eyes for the eyes, and the teeth for the teeth....

But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you

Ye have heard that it hath been said, Thou shalt love thy neighbour, and hate thine enemy.   But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you;   That ye may be the children of your Father which is in heaven: for he maketh his sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and sendeth rain on the just and on the unjust. For if ye love them which love you, what reward have ye? do not even the publicans the same? And if ye salute your brethren only, what do ye more than others? do not even the publicans so? Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect. (Matthew 5: 43-48) Jesus' intention is to save a lost soul. 『 Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect. 』 How can I be perfect? If you are not born again as a spirit body, you cannot be perfect, and if you are not perfect, you will not be able to ha...

she shall be called Woman, because she was taken out of Man

In Genesis 2: 23-24 『 And Adam said, This is now bone of my bones, and flesh of my flesh: she shall be called Woman, because she was taken out of Man.   Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife: and they shall be one flesh. 』 Adam says, 『 she shall be called Woman, because she was taken out of Man. 』 The man is Adam and the symbol of Christ. Woman means all the people who have gone from God to the world through Adam. In Genesis 3:21, Unto Adam also and to his wife did the LORD God make coats of skins, and clothed them. The ribs mean a paired door, and the word "flesh" means every body with breath. In Genesis 6: 3 『 And the LORD said, My spirit shall not always strive with man, for that he also is flesh: yet his days shall be an hundred and twenty years. 』 In 6:12 『 And God looked upon the earth, and, behold, it was corrupt; for all flesh had corrupted his way upon the earth. 』 Blood flesh is the flesh. "This is the bo...

Take heed that ye do not your alms before men, to be seen of them

Take heed that ye do not your alms before men, to be seen of them: otherwise ye have no reward of your Father which is in heaven.   Therefore when thou doest thine alms, do not sound a trumpet before thee, as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and in the streets, that they may have glory of men. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward. But when thou doest alms, let not thy left hand know what thy right hand doeth:   That thine alms may be in secret: and thy Father which seeth in secret himself shall reward thee openly. And when thou prayest, thou shalt not be as the hypocrites are: for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and in the corners of the streets, that they may be seen of men. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward. But thou, when thou prayest, enter into thy closet, and when thou hast shut thy door, pray to thy Father which is in secret; and thy Father which seeth in secret shall reward thee openly. But when ye pray, use not vain repetit...

If ye forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you

For if ye forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you:But if ye forgive not men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses. (Matthew 6: 14-15) Jesus died on the cross and resurrected in three days, and the disciples were hiding in one room in fear of the Jews. The door did not open where the disciples gathered, but suddenly Jesus appeared in the middle and said, "Peace be with you." And Jesus exhaled and said, "Receive the Holy Spirit." He also said, "If you forgive anyone's sins, you will be forgiven. If you leave anyone's sins intact, they will remain." There is a saying in the Lord's Prayer, "Let us forgive our sins, just as we have forgiven others' sins." This means that I can forgive the sins of other brothers, just as God has forgiven my sins for mine. Jesus in John 13:34 『 A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye ...

Lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven

Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon earth, where moth and rust doth corrupt, and where thieves break through and steal:   But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal:   For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also. (Matthew 6: 19-21) In Luke 12: 33-34, 『 Sell that ye have, and give alms; provide yourselves bags which wax not old, a treasure in the heavens that faileth not, where no thief approacheth, neither moth corrupteth. For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also. 』 With this title, you may hear that in some churches it is good to give a lot of offerings. However, this statement is different from the meaning of "Do a lot of donation." In the Old Testament, "to give something to God" has the meaning "to destroy oneself before God." It means that the beast is burned to death. In Romans 12: 1 『 I beseech you therefore,...
