The Beginning of the Gospel Is Repentance. Today the church says, “believe Jesus.“ But repentance must be preceded. Only those who repent in Revelation are recorded in the Lamb's book of life. Repentance is that we are dead on the cross. Not suicide, but we remember the death of Jesus who died on the cross, and believe that death is our own death. Then we believe that his death is our death, and when we believe we meet Jesus on the cross. The magician Simon was baptized by Philip, and later Peter came and said that he is evil. Simon was baptized without repentance. If you believe and are baptized, unless you repent, everyone will be like The magician Simon. Peter told Simon:Thou hast neither part nor lot in this matter: for thy heart is not right in the sight of God. Repent therefore of this thy wickedness, and pray God, if perhaps the thought of thine heart may be forgiven thee.
