Examples of the Cross and Resurrection in the Bible
1. The fiery serpent and the bronze serpent
When the Israelites complained to God that they were having a hard time in the wilderness, God sent fiery serpents (judgment of fire), and many of them were bitten and died. So Moses prayed to God, and God sent the bronze serpent (resurrection).
Numbers 21:8-9『And the LORD said unto Moses, Make thee a fiery serpent, and set it upon a field: and it shall come to pass, that every one that is bitten, when he looketh upon it, shall live. . And Moses made a serpent of brass, and put it upon a field, and it came to pass, that if a serpent had bitten any man, when he beheld the serpent of brass, he lived.』
In the end, the Bible says that everyone in the world must die from being bitten by a fiery snake. However, the bronze snake becomes a saving grace for those who are bitten by a fiery snake. Moses makes a bronze serpent out of a fiery serpent. The fiery serpent becomes a bronze serpent. The fiery serpent symbolizes Jesus' death on the cross, and the bronze serpent symbolizes Christ's resurrection. The fiery serpent and the bronze serpent represent Christ who died on the cross and was resurrected.
In John 11:25-26, Jesus said to her, I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believes in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live And whoever lives and believes in me shall never die. Believest thou this?』Currently, if a believer does not believe that he was resurrected with Christ while he was alive, he is a prisoner of the law of Moses.
