4. Water baptism (death) and Holy Spirit baptism (resurrection)
Death comes twice. The first is water baptism, and the second death is fire baptism. The first death, water baptism, means dying to sin. Sin (old man) has been resolved. The second death is baptism of fire. Therefore, saints are also people whose souls that emerged from the body were burned to death. So, through the power of the Holy Spirit, one becomes born from heaven. This is the baptism of the Holy Spirit.
Water baptism is a ritual that expresses death to sin. Many people misunderstand water baptism. They think that water baptism washes away sins, but it is not a washing away of sins, but death to sins. In 1 Peter 3:21, “The like figure whereunto even baptism doth also now save us (not the putting away of the filth of the flesh, but the answer of a good conscience toward God,) by the resurrection of Jesus Christ: 』Water is the promise (sign) that the old man dies to sin and is resurrected as a new man. Sin has been resolved. Noah's ark symbolizes water baptism.
So, for the second time, believers must take off their souls and change into clothes that come from heaven. In order to change his soul, he must be baptized with the Holy Spirit and fire. Baptism with the Holy Spirit and fire means that one first dies by fire and is reborn with the Holy Spirit. In Matthew 3:11, “I indeed baptize you with water unto repentance.” but he that cometh after me is mightier than I, whose shoes I am not worthy to bear: he shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost, and with fire”
In Luke 12:49-50, “I am come to send fire on the earth; and what will I, if it be already kindled? But I have a baptism to be baptized with; and how am I straitened till it be accomplished.』The fiery judgment of Sodom and Gomorrah symbolizes fire and the baptism of the Holy Spirit. So, the soul received from parents dies and receives clothes (spirit body) from heaven. Putting on a spiritual body is resurrection.
